my story
I'm Nma, a self-taught Product Designer. After graduating with a degree in Translation & Interpretation, I spent several years as an Online English Teacher. Beyond my educational background, I’ve always been interested in psychology and understanding the human mind. My natural curiosity drives me to explore and learn new things, constantly pushing me to grow both personally and professionally.
While working as an English tutor, I started exploring tech fields like web development. I quickly picked up HTML and CSS, but when I reached JavaScript, I found it too structured, leaving little room for the creativity I craved. That’s when I discovered UX/UI design. At first, I had no idea what it was, but as I started reading and learning about it, it felt like I had found a treasure box because it was the perfect blend of everything I loved—logic, creativity, and psychology
I began my learning journey with a detailed plan, and the more I studied design, the more I realized how much it relates to teaching. Just as I used empathy to understand my students' needs and tailored lessons accordingly to help them overcome their weak points, I found that product design requires the same approach: understanding user challenges and creating meaningful solutions
After taking many online courses and challenging myself with small design projects, I built a strong understanding of design foundations and principles. I then started working on my case study and offering free design projects to put myself out there and gain real-world experience. Now, I’m proud to say that I’ve learned so much, but I know there’s always more to learn—because, for me, design is about discovering something new every day.
